I put random pictures that have no relationship to the post.
Today was preschool day again! I haven't seen my partner child in a week because she was sick. I saw her today and she looked so sad =( I guess she wasn't feeling well still. I took her in to sign her name and I also got to keep a coloring of hers. During snacktime, everyone was eating but she wanted to play. I suggested that we read instead. I really like this book. It's about a teddy bear and what happens when he falls off the bed. It's also a counting book! (WOW two in one)
Then after reading, she decides that she wants to read so I got her some snack (even though I wasn't supposed to..because once they say no..they have to stick with it). She would sometimes smile but she still looked gloomy. Then we went to the shamrock table where she glued words that she knew on a shamrock. She knows 9 words (is, on, in, the, and, my, a, and some other ones I don't remember =) ) Then we went to play with noisemakers and dinosaurs.
Today I got pushed in my butt and then the kid ran away =( I was so sad. He doesn't speak english either so I couldn't discipline him. I don't like kids that are bad!! Anyways, it was nice to see Brianna smile even though she wasn't feeling well. Made me happy to see that she was having fun!
Then I came home, made some beans, showered, and then it was off to general meeting. Thank you to Alex who came to help me carry the jello to the meeting. We totally looked like alcoholics carrying 3 trays of jello shots. Then the meeting started. Nina made awesome cupcakes (so CUTE!) During the meeting, the board was so cute! They made a video for James to thank him for an awesome year and I was super teary and couldn't help myself.
Sidenote: I am super sentimental. If you know me, then you know that I pretty much keep everything. I have movie ticket stubs from middle school LOL (the print is so faded, you cant even see it anymore) But yeah, I was super teary because when I see things, I almost always relate it to something else that makes me emotional. I don't know if that makes sense..like when I see a movie..I will relate it in someway to myself and my life. If it is a happy scene, then happiness or if it is a sad scene, I am sad..etc.

So in this case, I saw the video for James and I was just super happy that people recognized all his hard work. One thing that I love a lot is letting people know when they do good things or accomplish something or simply if they are awesome. James totally and whole heartedly dedicated this past year to making the club what it is today. The video made me flashback to all the hard work that I and other board members put in one year ago and two years ago. It's not easy being a board member and it's crazy the amount of time you put in and the countless sleepless nights. Anyways, I digressed. I just wanted to say that the video was awesome. I am glad they did something for James because he totally deserves it. Made me think back on the two years before this one. All that=cry/tears of happiness.

Then James gave his goodbye. Way to go, 08-09 Board! Then it was the moment that everyone was waiting for...Chair Announcements. Talk about heartbreaking. I was sooo scared for everyone in the room that applied. I mean, so many dedicated members, so many awesome, wonderful people. I am sure everyone would mke a great chair, but there are only so many you can have (11 to be exact) I am happy for all those on Board, you will go on a wonderful journey and love/hate/hate/love Circle K. =)
To all those who didn't make it...it's okay. I mean being a member rocks! You are catered to...raffle prizes..don't have to drop from projects..etc. When it all comes down to it, it is about Community Service. I know I often lose sight of that...but seriously and simply, all it comes down to is what are you doing to help serve those in need. You don't need to be a board member to make an impact in the lives of those who are in need. I wish I could re-do my time this year and really focus on the important things like contributing something to the world. Luckily I have Jumpstart where I can see the progress of Brianna week after week.
Anyways, it was a sad night..then James had to dig through crap for his gavel. I was in everyone's faces about James' dinner party/banquet for his bday. His present came in today! I'm so excited and can't wait to give it to him!!!
I was really sad that I stepped outside to record something and when I came back, the jello shots were distributed and it wasn't the whole "cheers to finishing" that I had wanted it to be. Ugh..I was annoyed..but I guess I expected too much. So I just stuffed my face with jello.
Then on to scrapboozing party (Lol..jk) I managed to do 1 page in the 2-3 hours that we were there. Sigh** but the scrapbook is looking amazing. We left and then went to get some boba and ran into Joe (again!) We ran into him last night too. Then came back and now I am not doing work like I should. I have a research paper to do and I don't want to do it. I make poor decisions. But I really like the fact that I am getting to know people better (or at least I feel that way). I really want to get to know more people..like deeper stuff. I know I posted something about not having that connection with people and feeling like it was too late. But I know it's not too late! I will try to make more friends before I leave Cal.

And that transitions me to...I am sad. Super sad about my upcoming graduation. It's been four years and I am used to this dirty place I now call home. I still remembered that I seriously cried all the way up to norcal (like 6 hours in the car..I cried all the way). Then I cried for another month or two. I feel like that is going to happen again. I am scared that friends will be lost due to distance. I don't know if I can make new friends. Everyone is going back to socal...and I will be in SF..without my family..and some friends. I know that there will be people staying but I fear that without Circle K, without the close proximity of being in Berkeley, our friendships will not survive. I hope I am wrong. Just know that I will cry...at DCON, at Banquet, at Graduation, at everything. But I will just keep smiling...even if I have tears. Just keep smiling!

I feel like I have insomnia. But I am sleepy. I just sleep late.

So this past weekend was super exciting! Friday night was the murder mystery! Saturday was California Academy of Sciences. Sunday was sleep, sleep, eat, sleep.
On Friday we had our 1920s themed murder mystery dinner. It was so much fun! The day started off with me getting ready for the dinner. I tried to make my hair short because that is what was popular in the roaring 20s. So yeah, didn't work out too well because by the time I went to class and then to the dinner, my hair all fell down.
The cast was really good and it was fun questioning them. It brought back all the memories of mystery books/movies that I read/watched before.
Some funny stuff I remember:
"Why are y'all laughing at? My husband just died."
"I just came here on the Titanic." (me: "You've been swimming for 10 years?")
"I sense bad spirits."
My detective group

The entire Circle K group

What my hair was supposed to look like

So then that was mucho fun. We had to sleep early because Saturday was a big day!
But instead we just had a fun/full conversation on Joe's status. Over the span of about 1.5 hours, we managed to put over 60 comments on Joe's wall. He should feel very special =)

On to Saturday! We woke up at 8:30am and set off on a journey (Agustin, Alex, James and me). James was forced to close his eyes and we told him we were gonna drop him off at castro and put him in a costume. Then we were gonna go to a gay strip club. So we arrived at the California Academy of Science. We had to take the elevator but there were other people (mainly kids). And in a very loud voice, James says "Why are there kids at the strip club?" LOL...I bet the adults were like WTF. So we step out of the elevator and it is absolutely freezing. We go in, get our planetarium tickets, get our Bugs in 3D tickets and start exploring. We went to the climate changes exhibit first. So depressing. The earth is heating up, the animals are dying, everything is so sad, we are doomed..etc. etc.

Then we went to see Bugs in 3D. Probably the saddest thing I have seen recently. Propelio is a catepillar and she eats eats eats. Then she transforms into a butterfly. Hiradula is a praying matis and he eats other bugs. Hiradula eats Propelio and her wings float down the river into a sunset. WOW. (like 1 hour after watching the Bugs, we had all forgotten the name already. I thought it was Prompelio and Vangard..haha..I was convinced it was Vangard)

Then we explored..animal kingdom..then the planetarium. So Alex said that he fell asleep right after Mars the first time and he was determined to make it through the whole show. I was feeling very energized and hyped for the show. Then I get in, the show starts and they start with the center, zoom out into the roof, and then we get further from the roof..and I knock out. LOL..I was felt like we were actually high up in the sky and I am super afraid of heights. Anyways, I tried to wake up somewhere in the middle, yeah didn't work. I slept through the whole thing. Alex and Agustin fell asleep after Mars or so and James was in and out for a little bit. HAHA..best nap ever!

Then we went to the Aquarium. So I guess I was the measurement for how big the fish are..becuase every time James was like "Wow, huge fish! Amy come stand next to it to show how big it is" I was small compared to a lot of the fish. Then we went to teh rainforest, rode on some turtles and cats, then we left. We had spent almost 6 hours at the Science Center.

We all only had a bit of cereal and we were starving! Left with a cool picture taken by the center, paid $21 for parking, then went to search for the Full House house. We couldnt find it but then we went to Japantown to eat. This is a pea book =)

It was good, then we went back to Alex's apt. James knocked out. Then I fell asleep too. Then we both woke up and we started playing games and gossiping. =) At around 1:30am, we ordered sushi and continued to talk. We played the fantasy board draft (for the appointed chairs of Circle K)..yes..I know..we are pretty lame. Before we knew it..it was already 5am. I went home, took a shower and slept.
I woke up at 9:30am and had a terrible headache (probably from not sleeping) and decided I wasnt in the mood to go to DCM and Cheer Training. I wouldn't have wanted to socialize. James calls me at the end of the event and he woke me up. It was already 4PM! WTf...well..I guess I only slept 10 hours but its bad. Then I didnt do work even though I tried to start. I made curry and then just fooled around for a long time.
Now I am in class and I am not listening. =(

Last Friday, I woke up late for my class, missed a quiz and the reason I overslept was because I was studying and doing the REALLY REALLY long hw. GREAT! Oh well, then I went to work. There was a fun party to celebrate Tiffany Yu's BDay from last week and Julie's (our receptionist).

Look how pretty the colors are..yumm...jello! and someone in the office put the receptionist bell in jello..

this is Julie and her bell..lol

Then I worked until 330, class, then I was off to Lunafest. It was fun! But I was so tired that I slept through the entire film festival HAHA..opps. We got free Chipotle and Vitamin Water..YAY

then on saturday, I went to the grocery store..came back to bake and cook. I made red velvet cake and steak, mashed potatoes, and veggies. The steak was yummy. Ahh..the cake was fail -_-

I forgot part of the flour mix..sorta burnt the cupcakes..lol Oh well, people still ate it because they were probably drunk.

Sat night was Kathleen's bday party. I made tons of jello shots. They looked so pretty in the cute cups! I was super excited! So party...drunk ppl...then home!
On Sunday, I went to scrapbook and made an awesome page. It's a popup/pullout activity page. Yes, James is hiding behind the shark and kicking Josh. =) Then went to lanesplitter pizza. It was super grungy and the service was pretty bad. I had a meat lovers pizza while Alex ate his eggplant vegan dish and Agustin had a veggie pizza. HAha..it was super cold outside and the check took forever..then they messed up on my check. They charged my $174 for a $50 check. OMG. The breadsticks were delicious tho. The only good thing about the the place was the breadsticks.

Daylight savings change in time is insane. I have been messed up this entire week. Monday...woke up with a super headache..stayed home. Tuesday, super headache..went to preschool, gen mtg. Nina baked these tiramisu cupcakes..OMG. It's like heaven in a cup. Then I studied for my midterm. AHH..I have super senioritis. So bad that I needed a break from my break. LOL.
Wednesday, I went to my midterm and I thought it was 50 questions true/false. I see the test and it was multiple choice! HAHA..oh wells. I went home and slept. We finally had a jumpstart training this Wednesday. It was a somber talk about early childhood policy, laws, and legislation. (more about this later..after I do some research)
Thursday, went to preschool, committee mtgs, recorded random videos..that is all.
This is random but do you see the size of the cans on the right? WTF..haha..I have never seen these large soda cans before.

So Monday night was all about awards. I spent the entire night Sunday doing James' Hall of Fame. Then on Monday, I did his president's award and touched up Joe's Hall of Fame. I really hope one of them wins. They really deserve it! So I slept at 5am. I was so tired.
Luckily on Tuesday I get to sleep in. I woke up at 12pm and got ready for preschool. Today the site coordinator was bring someone to observe us. GOSH..our team hates being observed. Luckily the kids were really good today. On our drive back, I was telling my team leader how great my kid was today. She let me read to her and she remembered my name!
OMG. Then all of a sudden a huge CLUNK sound. We were about to exit the freeway and as my team leader Alice was switching lanes, she ran over some huge metal thing in the road on the freeway. So we pull over on the shoulder and she realizes that 2 of the tires popped! So crazy and of course it's raining..more like pouring! So she only has one spare (obviously) and we call AAA. They hang up on us so we called back. They tell us they are sending someone. The problem is, the tow truck can only take 2 people...THERE ARE 5 OF US. Crap.
So I was like OMG..then I called Agustin. Luckily he was free and he took off right away to save us. As we were waiting, a tow truck comes. This super shady looking guy comes to the window...I'm imagining all kinds of crazy killer stories at this point. But it turns out that the tow service is free in Berkeley and they get you off the freeway. But again, the problem is there's 5 of us and only space for 2. So we send him away and wait for AAA. Then the traffic starts getting worse and worse. And a while later Agustin calls and says he is almost on the freeway going the way we are.
But then a california highway patrol pulls over. He tells us to try and drive the car..then a nasty burning tire smell penetrated the windows into the car. IT WAS DISGUSTING. Seriously gross. So the CHP officer decides to give us a ride. OKay...just then Agustin calls again and I tell him to drive home safely. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGUSTIN!! I LOVE YOU LIKE SERIOUSLY SO MUCH! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT FRIEND! SO then my teammate gets in first..she like took 5 minutes because her foot got stuck between the back nd the front seats. I get in and was like WTF...there is seriously no leg space. Then another teammate gets in and she closes the door but it's not closed all the way. Well obviously in a cop car the door handles dont work. So whatever, off we go. So we take the exit that we were super close to and the officer was like "fuck, there is an accident"

LOL..yeah he was like super cussing. So there are two cars blocking the off ramp. He tells the cars to move off the ramp using the speaker system, but they don't even pay attention. Then he goes if you don't move your car, I will move it for you. He was serious. He was inching forward with his cop car. Then he gets out of the car but he forgets to put the car on park! It was scary..we almost hit the car that rearended another car. LOL..but dude the ppl were crazy. The two ladies would not get in their cars and drive off the freeway. When I saw the car, the front one was a BMW (BRAND NEW) but it only had paint scuffs. The car behind, got all fucked up. the front was like totalled. SO SAD. *side note: invest in a nice car..it's worth it* So we are still super squished in the cop car and the ladies drive to teh AMPM off the freeway and everything is okay. So we leave.
On the way he kept trying to make conversation and it was pretty crazy. He kept trying to convince us to become CHP Officers (apparently he makes $120,000 a year..WHOA) Anyways..he tells us how ppl only like firemen and never cops..which is totally true. Cops have such bad reps.
So finally we get to the Bart and then I head over to generally meeting. I had not had anything to eat yet..by the way it's 6:20pm and I have gone the whole day without food. I wanted to eat..but I only had 2 dollars. FML. Gosh..so I get some comfort food (curly fries) and I just go and wait at the general meeting room.
So gen mtg was pretty interesting..some funny skits etc..i got to be in the assassins skit..where I killed everyone for reals..(yeah I dunno..i dont get it but it was funny). Dragonsaurs won 2nd place penny wars for both categories..i think..(2nd Most money raised and most positive points)..then I ate a brownie.
I finally left and went to get some real dinner with James. Poor thing..he hasn't slept for like 4 or 5 days now. He worked on the Single Service essay for 7 hours...he didn't even care about his president's award. *sigh* what presidents have to do. SO yeah after dinner, got home and passed out at 11pm.
Wednesday: work, boring classes, work, home (ate a whole can of clam chowder..yikes), jumpstart training that was cancelled AGAIN..apparently there was some sort of fatality? and an emergency faculty mtg and our guest speaker couldnt make it. So instead of the training I finally was able to attend Margaret's committee meeting for like the first time ever. It was fun and I love Margaret (she's so awesome). Too bad water spilled in my backpack and my notebook is all messed up. Oh wells..after the mtg, I picked up some chocolate chips because I wanted to make chocolate chip cake..but I didnt have any sour cream..then I wanted to make some cc muffins..but I had no milk. FINE! I'll just settle for some chocolate chip cookies. They have a disgusting amount of butter but they are delicious. I MADE THESE FROM SCRATCH! yay..off of today's smitten kitchen post.

Alex got me thinking about graduation and the end of circle k...so I went on a search to find the best graduation song. haha..then ended up on youtube looking at random videos like Jimmy Kimmel's Unnecessary Censorship (super funny!). Now it is late..24 cookies later and a ton of youtube videos, I am off to bed. Goodnite.
PS. I reminisced about being on APATH and listenin to our open house songs/dance and our goodbye song by brian and jeff. I miss APATH freshman year. Fun stuff.

Hello! LOL..I am so tired. I am in class and not paying attenting because I cannot see the board. My contacts hurt my eyes because I stayed up until 5 am or something with James so he wouldn't be doing awards alone. I felt really bad for him. He needs an "Alex Chu". I am no Alex Chu...I can barely write. Awards editing is no fun.
Anyways, this weekend was pretty fun. We went up to Tahoe and got to see SNOW!!! So Friday night we left at like 6? 6:30? even though we were supposed to leave at 5pm. Well we got on our way and it was super trafficky. ON the way there were some crazzzy things. So we were in Joe's car and the car was hurting when going uphill. Then throuhout the whole drive, we were like why is the window so blurry?? the defroster is on..but we still can't see. It turns out Joe's defroster doesnt work. Great...we were driving throuh a darkass forest with fogged up windows and a slow drive uphill. Does this sound like a setup for a horror film? HAHa..so in the car was Fanny, James, and Joe Vu. We joked about man-eating deers and man eating deer. YEah..but we made it!
We settled in and a game of Apples to Apples began shortly. I was doing terribly..omg..not one card, not even close to being picked, not really any laughs either. My card was always like first to be discarded. MMUUUAHAHAHHAHA....but I came backkk and won! well..I don't know if I won but I got 8 cards in a game of 15 players.. OH YEAH! Some of my favorite cards are Jessica Simpson, Broken Collerbone, and Daddy Long Legs. ah yes...good times. THen we woke up super early to head to the ski resort. I didn't snowboard or ski because I don't like the feeling of death. So I passed. Many people stopped by where James and I were sitting and we left early.
Poor Tiffany N. got hurt. She was too busy saving children and a water dog to have paid attention to safety. Thank goodness she was able to save the children =) Anyways..we left, I took a really good nap, had awesome dinner, watched Star Wars Episode III and then I went to bed at 12am. I was really tired..not sure why..it's not like I was sore from snowboarding or anything. Well..I guess I missed out on late night trash talking. Oh wells.
Then it was morning. We cleaned up and left. OMG it was so windy and cold. Then it started raining and the death 'mobile had really noisy windshield wipers. Then it started snowing!! OMG I have never seen falling snow..it was quite a treat. Ate at IHOP, came back and napped. Then awards support for James.
Oh yeah, I got in trouble with both my work for being super flaky. I must try harder. That should be my goal until the end of the year...NO MISSING WORK BECAUSE I AM LAZY. Gosh..
BTW, Friday was Darrell's Bday and then we surprised him. Nina made awesome carrot cake cupcakes..heavenly...omg.
and a funny thing happened..oh i just love Monica's comebacks..
Josh: *Takes a bite of cupcake.* Asks Monica "You want some?"
Monica: "No! I don't want anything that comes from your mouth"
Matt: "That's how herpes is spread"
Monica: "You mean Josh?"
HAHAH..oh..she is the best at comebacks/disses/smart or witty sayings.
