I cant sleep..so I decided to post an entry.  Went to norcal after thanksgiving and found my new apt in sf.  I will be moving up the 27th!! AHHHH so close to now!

been hanging out with sharon and gary mostly.  Saw alex and watched the new disney movie princess and the frog.  It was okayyy..too soulful for me/kinda corny/cute.  finished christmas shopping for the most part and can't wait for christmas!!

i just want money..lol.  I dont need things.. so I just want money to help with the costs of moving in to a new place.  I need comforter/bed/mattress/dresser! AISH...that stuff adds up and rent/deposit...im super strapped for cash.  I wish my job started already but then how would i work without a place to live?...haha..dilemma

so i bought lots of work clothes and stuff to keep me warm in sf.


anyways i am sick..i should sleep.  delirious typing is no good.

have been up to lots of random things...

hello kitty 35th bday expo

So anyways, on Sunday was our friends get-together...well..at least a few of us who could make it.  Turns out everybody already ate and I was the only one that didnt eat dinner.  LOl..so I had some ramen.  We then went to watch Michael Jackson's This is It movie.  It was really good! and sad...its so sad that he died..he was pretty amazing..even though i was never really a fan.  then we decide to hit up RA..a sushi place and they drank and forced me to drink..lol..i was so red.

So I finally decided to change my template because I saw how cool cheriz's new template is.  I have been up to a lot of random things and a lot of nothing too.

well last week was my bday and we started the celebration on thursday when Sharon took Gary and me out to lunch at Zipangu.

no cake or anything..but I did get brick toast at guppys afterwards.  then I met up with sharon and gary and we went to a korean bar and they had beer.  James got me a portable laptop desk from brookstone..it was very cutely wrapped and had a cute yellow bow and a dora the explorer card.

Saturday..I went to rowland heights to get my bangs trimmed.  Ate lunch with Alex and James and my sister.  haha.alex got me a snuggie made of the nap blanket..from brookstone! haha..I swear I have a ton of gifts from brookstone.  It's like an ongoing joke btw me and james now with brookstone presents.

Then we went back to irvine, hung out..tried to find costumes for james.  he could have been a

I just got back from a trip to Yosemite and Berkeley with James and Alex.

Some recaps: we met a squirrel and we named it Sheldon.  James was like 2 feet away from deer...and what's funny is that when we went to his house for dinner the Saturday before..his dad showed me pictures of him when he was like 2 and he was trying to take pictures of deer.  HAHA...so yeah..i guess things never change.  We froze to death and the hike was too much for me.  I only got to the bottom of Vernal Falls because I am super scared of heights and I think it was a good choice on my part.  The next day I thought I was gonna die.  EVERYTHING was sore.  But we went to eat Brazil Cafe and it was delicious.  I was surprised that I couldnt finish everything.  Appetizers and drinks at Skates, seeing Max and playing a game of hot or not, gossiping, youtube clips, and delicious sandwiches in sf with Sam.

so yeah..it was fun! I'm glad I got to catch up with ppl and that although I dont regularly talk to ppl that we can still have a good time.

I'm home again.  Back to the same plain life.

Here are some stuff that I took on my phone.

Sunday: Cheesecake with Ryan, Sharon and Gary.  We got strawberry shortcake and red velvet cheesecake.  Made me miss the days when we would bake red velvet at alex's apartment.  Then we went to yardhouse.  I wish i drank alcohol.  I mean it's just more socially accepted.  Bleh..I hate how it tastes and how it makes me feel. 

Monday and Tuesday: Dont really remember..but I know I ran errands with my sister.  went to return something at Target.  We got less than $10 back and ended up spending like $50.  Target is evil.  Don't go there if you don't have something specific you need to buy.  Otherwise you end up getting really cute small pyrex containers for no reason.  (in my defense, they are super adorable and have lids...who knew pyrex glassware can be so cute?)

Wednesday: BJs with Sharon and Jeeyoon.  It was nice catching up.  I baked some cookies.  OMG they smelled so good.  I really like the recipe from smitten kitchen.

Thursday: Lunch with gary at hamamori.  This is the restaurant where sharon works and we went to visit her and support her.  It's a really cute japanese restaurant..really white/clean...nice view.  Then I went with my sister, cousin and aunt to San Diego.  We went to drop off my cousin at UCSD.  I got to eat some carne asada fries...but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.  But it was still okay.

Friday: spent the whole day shopping.  LOL...BADDDD! Got my new phone, boots, a shirt, and dinner at soup plantation.

Saturday: James came to see me and we went to California Fish Grill.  It's like his favorite restaurant.  Yummy stuff.  It was also the Chinese Autumn Moon Festival.  So I went to James' house to eat dinner with his family.

Sunday: MORE SHOPPING...uhm..went to Glendale..Americana? It's so cute..no not cute..but pretty and clean there.  Then we went to Ontario Mills and bought more clothes.  I was telling my sister that I was happy for my cousin because she got food poisoning a while ago and now she is super skinny and looks hot.  HAHA...I'm messed up...but whatever she looks good.
Monday:  I was craving red velvet so I made some.  I had been meaning to bake it but just slacking.  I made it with no food coloring so its just brown velvet.  Also, my aunt is giving me a stand mixer! I'm so excited!!  It beats hand mixing (beats...get it?..ok no..)


I am getting ready to go to nature.  It's been a while.  I hope I don't freeze to death.  Also..it's been really cold lately.  What the heck...I am still used to wearing shorts and no jacket.  Ahhh..the chilliness reminds me so much of berkeley.  Kinda makes me miss school.  Fall is where all the cool stuff happens.  I really do like fall.

my iphone died.  The top two rows of the touch screen doesnt work anymore.  My first generation iphone..basically an antique..is now retired.  So it sounds strange to say...but I had to get a new iphone.  Now i know i didnt have to...but I needed a phone and i'm so used to the iphone.

Ugh..the irony here is that my sister told me to sell the phone last month and then buy the new iphone...but I didnt want to pay for the phone and the monthly charge that is like $15 more per month.  But i ended up not getting any money for my old one and still shelling out money to buy the new one =( sadness.

Oh wells, at least I have the cool new iphone.  It's pretty awesome! its black and sexy..i'm naming it DARTH VADER! HAHAHHA!

lately I have been hanging out with my friends and not doing much.  Eating and shopping.  I need to not shop anymore! and not eat out so much!

only a few weeks until i am old.  23 years old...im a third of the way done with my twenties...ahhh..so scary!

I just came back from the movies with my sister.  We had a date night =)  First we went to souplantation and then we went to watch Julie and Julia.  Wow..I loved the movie.  It was funny and exciting and just wonderful.  It made me want to cook and bake even more.  The main girl Julie decides to cook through 524 recipes in 365 days and blog about it.  It looked really fun!  But unfortunately I do not have the money to buy ingredients to cook elaborate food nor do I have the supplies to do so. 

But at least I am going to get a hand mixer.  It really sucks to beat hard butter and sugar together. 

the movie was really inspirational and super funny!  GO WATCH IT!

As for my studying...OMG...killllll me now.  There are so many tv shows that I want to watch...why would I bother with watching lecture when I could be watching funny shows.  How I met your mother...LOVE IT!

I need some motivational magic.  I just want to be working and making money and doing things that I actually want to do...instead of just sitting at home, wasting my life away.  UGH...but I dont want to enter the real world.  I dont know what I want. 

Just gonna buy a hand mixer and one day... a stand mixer.  YELLOW stand mixer.  But I am not at that point yet.  Maybe more baking and more money.  I will get it when I feel like I deserve it =)

I went to a Korean body spa today..its called natura.  It was interesting!

it's completely nude..so you get there and the first thing you do is get naked.  then you can enjoy the different things that they have.

I showered..then went to the red jacuzzi.  Then the steam room, sauna, clay room, jade room, freezing water bath, then the regular jacuzzi.  Then it was time for the body scrub.

You enter..they tell you face down.  so you get on this table and prepare to feel like a piece of meat.  They scrub you down hard and all this yucky dead skin comes off and then they take a bucket of water and hose you down.  LOL!  They just toss a bucket of water on you.  Then you switch sides and then on your sides...they sorta massage you and then they wash your hair.  it was great.  i feel super clean and soft.

the whole day was really relaxing.  then i went to james' house for dinner and we watched 500 days of summer.  i liked it.

this past week i started to study for the cpa exam.  its really hard to focus and listen to lecture. =( i cant imagine how much harder it will be once work starts.  so i must work hard and study!!

On Sunday I watched the VMAs for the first time in a long time.  I had forgotten the magic of music videos and how they can make you feel.  While the VMAs was ridiculous and outrageous, the music and music videos are not. It was great to see the performances and see the videos. 

Beyonce is hot.

So I'm finally back after a month of adventure in Taiwan. It's slow and not hectic anymore. I caught a cold before I left so I am just relaxing and recovering. The last 10 days of my adventure was very fast paced with lots of activities.

Sat: hung out at SOGO and other random stores
Sun and Monday was the same. Shi Meng Ding in the morning with Shilin Night Market at night. I also got a full body scrub and a facial. It felt really good!
Tuesday: Momo hot pot, was gonna head to the zoo but ended up running random errands
Wednesday: stone spa and hsinchu..we went to a really good hotpot place =)
Thursday: lavender cottage, kaoshiung, night market
Friday: headed back to taipei, rode the high speed rail, keelung night market
Sat: WuLi, cuticle eating fish foot spa, body spa, ate yummy dumplings and bao's
Sunday: Shi Meng Ding again with cousins, my sisters friend and her sister..haha..big family gathering, went to a california restaurant (weird that i travel across the country to eat californian food..lol), visited my godmother's family but she wasnt there..just her entire family
Monday: last minute shopping, ate hotpot again, went everywhere looking for the usbman I wanted to get James. I also got my face threaded. It hurt. I also think my face got an allergic reaction.
Tuesday: headed to taipei from taoyuan..long walks, missed stops, bad times...hung out with my lil aunt one last time then headed to the airport and flew back

I watched the proposal and imagine that on the plane. I tried to sleep most of the way because i felt like crap. I got back, James picked me up and he made me some soup. I ate..then proceeded to sleep for 13 hours and got up at 7am. I have been hanging out in his room since Ive been back. I just catch up on tv and sleep while he goes to class and studies. LOL...today I finally stepped outside. It's hot!

Back to the real world now =) no more messing around and it's time to buckle down and study for my cpa.

eh..ill start brand new next week!

I suddenly miss home very much and school life. I miss seeing people that I know and like... all the time. I miss college friends that I don't see and didn't see that much during college. I wish we had more time in college to just hang out and form better bonds. I miss my apath floormates that I was once friends with...but did not keep in touch with. I miss my taiwanese class teachers. It weird that toward the end of college, you get so caught up and absorbed into different things that you dont take the time to tend to other things. I dunno why suddenly I am missing freshman and sophomore year. It's not to say that senior year/junior year wasn't great...because they were! I just wished I cherished old friendships more and kept better relationships. I will have to try harder!

on a side note: my arm is super sore from mosquito bites. I am super allergic and each time I am bitten, I swell, then it becomes painful and I am sore..then it itches like crazy...then it leaves a nasty mark as new bites pop up =(

i'm at 11 bites now. my sister arrived in taiwan! I cant wait to go back to where mosquitos will not bite me anymore. only 10 more days!

Wed: I stayed in all day..did nothing..didnt really eat either

Thursday: i went to the mall again to watch a movie. I watched the time travellers wife..its pretty good! I also got to watch it in upgraded seats..which is just a sofa recliner seat.

Friday: went to the temple to volunteer again. I don't think I have ever sweated(is that a word?) this much in my life. I was dripping sweat and my shirt was like wet. OMG...it was disgusting!

Then we went to watch my cousin play the harmonica. It was pretty cool! They had a harmonica ensemble and they played beautifully. Too bad the music was all classical and I fell asleep during a little bit. This one guy had a solo and he plyed for like 30minutes straight. Thats some crazy blowing power. It was good...I have never seen/heard anything like this. THey dont really have that in the U.S.

My arm hurts. I am tired because of sweating off like 5 pounds. gnite!

So on Wed I went to the countryside. I went to visit my great aunt and aunties (my mom's aunt and cousins). We went to many places to eat and eat and eat. I got my nails done with pretty flowers and fruit and hearts. I also got my eyelashes permed =)

We stayed there until friday and took the train back.

Sat, Sun, Mon was spent doing lots of random things like eating and walking around. On Sat, I went street shopping and ate. On Sunday I went to volunteer at a temple. I washed bamboo shoots, peeled lettuce, washed bowls and sorted chopsticks and bowls. The temple had some sort of ceremony/festival where thousands of people attended. I think I washed 500 bowls. It was super tough. Monday..i went to see a chinese medicine doctor. I got some really nasty medicine. =( super yucky!! Went to some place to drink soydrink and eat traditional chinese breakfast. It was ehh..okay..not great...then went shopping for a hairband =)

Tuesday the medicine made my tummy super icky...i dont feel well =( I went to the mall again to get another facial. Hopefully my face will be better when I go back! Only 2 more weeks!!

my bug bite count is 6 now. one on each thigh, one on arm, one on face, two on one hand on two fingers.

Sat: Went to the mountains to see my grandma and grandpa. It was very sad. I also got a really bad bug bite on my thigh. At first it was just one finger's width..then it grew and grew and grew to 4 fingers width =( now its small and discolored and itchy. We went along the oceanside and visited lots of random places. The whole day was mostly sitting in the car.

Sunday: did some street shopping, watched tv

Monday: stayed in all day and watched tv, then went to night market

Tuesday: went to the mall in taoyuan and got a facial and lots of stuff for my face. The facial hurt. My face looks super scary but I think it will be okay in a few days.

My favorite show in taiwan is a cartoon called mirmo! Its so cute!!

2nd day:
woke up at 6am again. Went back to sleep until 8am. My little uncle picked us up and then we went to eat at some restaurant that serves shanghai food..the plates of food were so small. I asked for ice water. they brought out water and said we dont have ice water. I was like okay...fine..but then my mom ordered a drink and there was ice in it! WTF..haha..taiwan is weird.

Then I went to tamshui. it has a fishermans wharf..and it was hot. Then my mom and I went to see my godmother's sister. Ate more food and then we slept over at her house.



3rd day:
went to several malls, ate hot pot buffet, visited relatives and went to the hot springs for a bath. It was at a country club. I finally ate some street food tonight.

I woke up at like 630am sat around. Had traditional asian breakfast with chinese churro and pancake and rice drink. Chatted. Went to sleep again at 9am...woke up at 11am. Visited cousin's grandmother...went to Taipei from Taoyuan. The weather was crazy..it rained super hard and I was so scared in the car. My aunt's vision is not very good and she would make very sudden stops. The rain splashing from other cars created waves up to the windows! It was scary but we made it safely. Then I went to visit my mom's little sister. We went to a super nice japanese buffet which cost $25 per person. I felt really bad because I am on my diet still and could not eat that much. Anyhoo...then we went back to my aunt's house and she pulled out all her artwork to show me. She is a really good artist and art is her profession and passion =) Back to Taoyuan!

jk..haha..I am in Taiwan now. The plane ride was long and I didnt really get to sleep. I watched the Soloist, My Life in Ruins, Adventureland, Ghosts of Girlfriends, Knowing.

There was a cute boy who sat in front of me and would look back and wave to me. At one point, he climbed over and sat on my lap. LOL. He was so cute.

Also, I got a fever on the plane. Worst experience ever! It started with my throat feeling weird and sorta closing up, then i was super dizzy and pale. The the fever broke out with 2 hours left on the flight. AISH. I got spotted and had to wear a face mask. Good thing they didnt think i had swine flu.

anyhoo..it's hot here. I woke up drenched in sweat...i guess from the fever and the room temp. =)

So these past few days I have been chilling and relaxing. Celebrated JeeYoon's Bday on Wed the 22.

Saturday the 25, went to Hacienda Heights to see Alex. Sunday went to Rancho Cucamonga because we wanted to interclub and I have no life. It was weird to be at a district board meeting. It was actually very painful to hear some of the comments and the lack of people speaking up for good ideas..but oh wells. We went to Yardhouse, had a little incident with alcohol, then we left. It was a billion degrees. On Monday was Alex's Birthday. We went to huntington beach and did a bonfire/barbecue. Food was delicious..even though we thought it wouldn't cook. Then we went to BJs and sat around as Alex was getting super buzzed/drunk =) It was a happy day!

Wednesday was Jessica's Bday! She is in virginia..so didn't get to celebrate with her. My sister made me dinner that night and we watched The International. So in an earlier post about me watching movies...well, the list has probably quadrupled since last time..but I dont remember what I watched..too many movies! On Friday the 31st, my sister and I threw a party and had a bbq/pool/drinking party. It was nice just to hang out with my sister and a few of her friends, my cousins, and a couple of my friends.
Then on Saturday, James left for Med school and I went with him to help him move a little bit of his stuff. We came back, passed out on my couch..then he left for med school for reals on Sunday. On Sunday I cut my hair, went shopping and celebrated my cousin's 19th birthday party at Boiling Crab. We waited 2 hours! That place is getting to be ridiculous in how many ppl are there everyday! Even weekdays -_- and this time..they didnt even have my favorite..sweet potato fries!!! OMG! oh wells, still good..i guess.

Monday I just chilled. Watched Duplicity->pretty good movie, and Labor Pains->terrible. Tuesday, saw the doctor and he told me that guys are assholes and that I would be a sugar mommy. LOL..my doctor is hilarious. Then I went to babysit Fred and Abby, the cute kids I played with in June.

I got my passport just recently. It looks super crazy with the full color pages of national monuments and stuff. I am leaving for taiwan in only 5 days. I am super excited but also very scared of the hot humid weather and the dirtiness. Wish me luck!
